In the sky lord, in the sky …….

Survivor has a unique ability to get some great video and here is one. From an eagles eye view with the helicopter they monitor a lot of area. Great camera on that bird!!!

The only thing coming from the sky was more & more & more rain. last time I saw that much rain was during Hurricane Ike. Lost power so it felt like I was in the jungle. had to dig out the candles and flashlights.

As for our cast-a-ways, quit bitching and do something to stay warm. Work on more palms for your roof, cover it up big time. Shambo for all your bitching seems to have a nice little hideout she built, be “SOCIALABLE” and ask her for help. Being curtious works both ways. That rain looks like it will last forever, and they have 24 days to go!!!  Sit, shiver and bitch is all they do. Go look for that chicken, he probaly is sitting somewhere bitching about the rain and should be easy to catch. Evil Russell just keeps plugging along like nothing is bothering him. Everyone else keeps complaing, BUT doing nothing. Mommy can I go out and play, are you crazy kid it’s raining. Thats not an option for these weinies, they have to go out to play so why not go out and work on improving there habitat. Look for somewhere that the rain won’t ge you, find a very bushy tree and  build a temorary hut.

Like I said, ER is just plugging along, he went out fishing and also brought back a bunch of bananas. he is feeding his tribe better than 9 people in the other tribe.  Over at Galu, Russell was keeping the fire going, another thing they could be doing is making a cover over the fire to keep some of the rain out of it. Hard to believe the two Russell’s are the only ones even attempting to be useful.  Keeping busy and staying warm ER is now filling the canteens with rain water, man is this guy ever going to slow down?

Amazing sunrise and rainbow before the storms continue the next morning.

Time to move and get to the challenge area for our cast-a-ways. The game today, roll a giant ball with one person strapped inside down a path and then do a tilt-a-maze. Oh, did I mention evetone except the person rolling around in the ball is blindfolded. Jeff gets them started “GO” and away they push. I found it hard to beleive that no one one was rolled over by those big wooden balls, I did see some smashing going on. Foa Foa was the first to the maze and was starting to do theirs when Galu pulled up the the finish spot. At this point Russell Swan was staggering to get to the maze, he stumbled over to Foa Foa’s ball before they got him over to the maze. The man was out on his feet!!!   It seems they edited out the fall in the previews that looked bad and showed a 2nd one where he just slowy dropped to the ground after laying his head on the maze. It really was touch and go, he was really out of it, his mind wanted to keep playing and his body wouldn’t co-operate. He was in bad shape and when his dropped 30 points it was really scary. His eyes were just staring off and not moving. It definately was time to pull him out!!  at this point Jeff called off the challenge with no winner even though Foa Foa had a clear advantage. Upon announcing there was no winner, he also said both teams would be going to the Tribal Council and evicting one person each. So a double eviction was in the books so they can get down to merge numbers.

After both teams got back to their camps the Foa Foa Russell was talking to try to get Liz voted out. The rest of the tribe was grumbling but not making a clear desision who they wanted out. meanwhile, over at the Galu, the girls are aiming to take out Shambo. However, the boys are talking about keeping her because of her abilities and they don’t believe she poses a threat. it was cool when she was asking them (boys) to keep her that they where getting her to vote for Monica without saying so!!

When they got to TC, Jeff was asking them about the conditions and what kind of problems they were having. ER said he thoughtm Foa Foa was in great shape and start a comeback over Galu. Eric hen chimed in that Galu was dominating. The trash started and the guys were ready to start the next challenge, lets get ready to jumble!!!!!!

After some discussion and before the fight in the jungle Jeff said it’s now timie to get to the eviction voting. He told them because of the unforseen ending and since there was no winner there would be no evictions. Some sighs and some disappointments but that was it for the night!

After seeing the previews, next week looks good. It seems Russell H. was visiting Galu and making an alliance. This also means that Foa Foa might have won a Reward Challenge and sent ER to Galu for an observation (snd HII look).

Same time next week, MORE SURVIVOR!!

  1. HOLLy, I agree RUssell H, not the warm and fuzzy type, but he is good for the game, and proving himself to probably be tougher than anyone there. I would just rather see anyone win this game but him ,after all if he is a millionaire, he doesnt need the money, right.

  2. Holly….I didn’t mean to steal your thunder. I just wanted everyone
    to know the whole article.
I read something in Soap Opera Digest that Jeff & Jordan are going
to be in an episode of Bold & Beautiful.

Okay Ted from chicago, sorry about that Jeff and Jordan reference but if you read further you would have realized it was from Big Brother. A lot of people on this site were also BB fans so that was my little update and then Frannie outdid me with even more details! Back to survivor, what a bunch of bs that no one got pizza!! I agree it should have been pizza for all! The mere suggestion that we women would find that little schemer Russell even remotely attractive made me throw up a little in my mouth, YUK!!

Forgot again, 52 degress and absolutely crappy outside! Later kids!

  4. Holy crap…..Deb’s post was not there after I posted my
first blog. The only one I saw was aggies. Sorry Deb for
overlooking your blog being first. My bad.

  5. 51f & Raining Hard… Guess we’re all like Samoa today… HOLLY, I guess I’ll have to watch BB sometime… that was funny, I assumed you meant Jeff P. That was interesting how they edited that promo… looked like Russell really smashed his face… boy, he did not look good. I thought Laura was at Foa Foa… didn’t think about Russell going to Galu. I will have to watch that over again. Of course he would send himself… but that would be risky leaving the others alone… but then, he has the idol, which may or may not save him. But then, no one ever uses it. Except once, and I can’t remember who used it successfully. Oh yes, and that idiot Randy… sure hope he is on S20! Darn, I can’t see the video above. Just a blank black box. I’ll come back to it. Appreciate your efforts SNAKE.

My Avatar is the Survivor list from our Survivor Pool with the losers X’d out. It changes when I change my facebook profile pic, which changes it here. I put it on facebook once in a while. I have Shambo and Dave as my picks. I have hopes for Dave. I like Sham, but don’t think she will go to the final three… I thought what she said about Rullell TC was very nicely put.

  6. Got the video… That explains a few things about how they get those shots. Of course that Showboat Coach knew he would be filmed when he did his act… but maybe not from the sky. Very cool.

  7. Ted… When you hosted “Right Here In River Cities” in Sacramento did any execs from Tower Records ever come on your show? My cousin, Devon, was Tower’s CFO during the companies glory years and he still lives in Sacramento.

  8. Great day in Mobile: 76 degrees in Mobile. Not a cloud in the sky and a slight beeze from the NW.

  9. Misty, windy, chilly day in St. Peters, Mo. No sun in two days.
52 degrees but feels more like 42. I’m not ready for this cold
    crap.

  10. PHILLIP… What is Devon’s last name? I may have known him, as I grew up in Land Park six blocks from the Tower Theater. Russ Solomon started the record store in the back of his dad’s drug store in that building. He was 10 or 15 years older than me and I didn’t really know him. But, I bought a lot of records from him. He employed a lot of Land Park boys. He now has an indie record store in the original Tower Records building across the street from the theater. He is a real nice guy. Probably one Sacramento’s better exports… that and Tom Hanks.

Buckets of Samoan Rain today… looks like it might be clearing up in time for the High School Homecoming Parade.

  11. Great day in the Twin Cities: 36 degrees, cloudy, and huge snowflakes most of the day….. they all melted. TGIF!!

  12. Agood leader for the galu tribe, would be either Dave, John, or Eric.I hope its one of them, they seem like they could be pretty effective.

  13. Ted… My cousin is Devin Searson. He had a successful accounting firm in Sacramento prior to accepting the CFO position with Tower Records.

  14. I have not seen Murray on in a long time, Ted you should check out big brother ,most of the people on here are from big brother,I think you can get all the seasons on the internet.

  15. Ted… This is my cousin’s resignation announcement.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — MTS, Incorporated, dba Tower Records, today announced that the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, DeVaughn (phonetically correct, but real name is Devon his dad’s middle name) Searson, will resign from the Company effective November 11, 2002.

Searson, 58, who successfully steered the Company through a highly complex Restructuring Plan, which included the sale of its Japanese operations and the refinancing of its credit facility, commented on his decision, “I have been with Tower for just over fourteen years, and feel the time has come for me to move on. I’m looking forward to really enjoying some leisure time and I leave confident that the work my finance team has undertaken has significantly strengthened the company’s balance sheet.”

Tower Records’ President, Michael Solomon, said, “Although we are saddened by Dee’s departure, we very much respect his decision. Given the challenges of retail and the industry in general, Dee’s achievements on behalf of the company have been nothing short of remarkable.”

Devon became just “Dee” when he was just a kid growing up in Antioch, California. His dad, now deceased, was my Mom’s younger brother, Willard Devon Searson, always known as Mike from the time he was just a kid growing up in Utah.
Mike and his wife Lena shared an apartment with Sam Walton and his wife Helen when both Mike and Sam were Captains in the US Army Intelligence Corps, where they supervised security at a Japanese internment camp in Arizona.

  16. Had a busy afternoon…..My grandson went to the hospital
to have an MRI of his shoulder. Reason….for a couple of
years now, his shoulder tries to come out all the time. He
plays basketball and baseball. Usually, when this happens,
he can put it back into place. Over the summer, he dove for
a ball in right field and when it came out, it didn’t want to
go back into place. The coach tried & it took nearly 5 minutes
to get it back. Well, he went for a physical Wednesday and
his pedia. wanted him to see a ortho. dr. This dr. sent him
for an MRI…which brings me to this afternoon. After he was injected with the dye, he passed out and fell & hit his head
on the floor. His heart rate went way up & then it went
to slow. They called for a code…(can’t remember) and began
working on him. They hooked him up to monitors until they stabilized him. All I could think of was Russell S… He got as
white as a ghost and was shaking. He doesn’t remember what happened. He said he kept seeing flashes of light. It took him several minutes to realize where he was. He needs surgery on the shoulder and will be out of sports for the rest of this year
and next baseball season. They said it was because of his nerves. If this happened with just an MRI, can you imagine
the day of surgery. He will be a basket case. I am just so
thankful he was at the hospital when it happened so they
could treat him right away. That was some scary chit.
We can never take anything for granted. What seems like a minor procedure can turn bad quick.

  17. Since jeff called off the challenge and Foa Foa was clearly in the lead and Galu had a medical emergency, the pizza that eas promised to the winner was never awarded. I feel everyone should has had pizza at tribal.

  18. Sal, another great intro! I share a lot of those thoughts exactly. I was wondering while watching last night, why not build something to cover the fire? 4 posts, a roof.. maybe 6 feet high.. or whatever it would take to not catch fire.. and there you go! Maybe some stakes to secure it from wind blowing it away. Do they usually do something like that? I couldn’t understand what they were thinking. And standing around shivering? WTF? Get moving! Do something… even if it’s wrong or futile.. it’s better than nothing and will help you stay warm. One more thing…. Pizza for all!! Even if they didn’t have enough to go around, I’m sure they would have been happy to get any. Russell going out that way was tough enough.. don’t punish everyone because of it.

  19. JT… As a former Boy Scout, I would also have recommended that rocks and other non-flammable materials be gathered to build an “elevated” hearth to build the fire on about 10 or more inches off the ground, otherwise all the cover in the world won’t protect the fire from being “flooded out at ground lever from the torrential rain and flowing water. Been there done that. :)

  20. Good point PK. That’s something they should have done in the first place. Or at least they could have diverted the water around the fire. Boy Scouts was fun for us kids.. I used to think that’s what being in the military would be like.. boy was I wrong. Boy Scouts is like a fun camp-out in comparison. Movie Time….. BBL

  21. NO PIZZA FOR ANYONE! Jeff was correct in his decision. The Challenge was not completed. Because Foa Foa was ahead did not mean that they won. If anyone should get Pizza it should be the 2 Russells. Russell S. to help recovery and Russell H., because he was the only one not whining about the weather.

PHILLIP… did not know Dee. He is about my age. What was the name of his accounting firm?

FRANNIE… sorry to hear about your grandson and glad he’s ok. The timing is eerie right after seeing Russell. Tell him the surgery is important so he can play ball again. I’m sure the doctors will prepare him for the day.

  22. Sal, loved your synopsis of the show. It’s always good to have a little review. I agree with everyone, what a bunch of dunces sitting around whining and shivering and doing nothing to make their situation better. I was yelling at the TV to get their asses moving and do something, but no, whining is their best move. Ugh! As for pizza, I agree with most, they should have given everyone some under the circumstances. Sometimes there are exceptions to the rules. It would have been a nice touch.

And PK, you are so very lucky to have such a memory about your experiences. I only hope you are keeping a copy of everything you’ve blogged because some day you will truly enjoy reading them. They are delightful.

I was disappointed in DWTS elimination. She didn’t deserve to go. Michael or Louie should have gone but as we’ve said many times, this seems to be more a personality contest than a dancing contest. I still love the show.

The top 20 for So you think……..Dance was great. No favorite yet, but was happy to see the “wife” get the chance since one chose to take a part in a move. Loved her though, she was a great dancer and darling!

  23. Frannie—I too am VERY sorry to hear about your grandson. Glad he is doing better. And VERY glad he was at the hospital when all of that happened. Maybe his reaction was from the dye.

My right shoulder comes out of the socket every now & then. An injury from the OLD days of bad choices. But I never go to the doctor with it anymore. I just sit & wait for it to go back in place. Talk about pain–WOW—it will make your you know what pucker that’s for sure. When I did go to a doctor about it—the talked about surgery & all of that–but it will have to get much, much worse before I go that route. But then again I don’t play sports so it’s not an issue for me. Give your grandson my best & tell hm to hang in there ok??
